[ He's outside within those few minutes, leaning against his rover and yawning. Solveig is close by, nosing her beak through already messy hair that Hope had tried to fix (really) but ultimately gave up on. Really, he's a frumpled mess of a man but there is at least a smile and wave once he spots Light. ]
[It's obvious she woke him up--they're all exhausted--but the sight of him still uncurls something in her chest. After that mess it was hard not to be worried. It's partly why she's here now, stepping up and holding out a folded knife towards him.]
Here.
[He'll no doubt remember this blade, considering what it had meant to them all those centuries ago. To keep him safe, one way or another.]
[ He does remember it and it's clear on Hope's face that he's surprised to see it. After all, he carried that knife along with a lot of other ugly emotions. Giving it back to her had also meant throwing all of that away and stepping toward something better. Nevertheless, he slowly reaches out and takes the survival knife into his hand with a small frown.
He's older now but the weight of it hasn't changed in his hands at all. ]
[They made a promise to one another, and she has every intention of keeping it as best she can, but the last few fights have proven things to her: she can't be everywhere and at his side at once. As strong as he is, things have changed. She shakes her head faintly.]
[ He turns it over in his hand, curiously opening the blade and sighing. Right, that time in Palumpolum hadn't been the last time he had held this... had it? No, he remembers giving it to Serah that time when for years he thought Lightning had to have died before they truly realized what had happened.
Still, he keeps a careful grip on it and slowly closes the blade with a nod. ]
I'll hang on to it for now then and maybe one day, I'll be able to give it back to you again.
[That he'll stay alive long enough to give it back to her before they go home. That they'll both be alive at that point. Which brings her to one another thing. She puts a hand in one pocket, digging around for something. Glass clinks, and then she comes up with a vial of glimmering potion. Got these back, too, and one she holds out to him. Take it, Hope. Just to be safe.]
[ He carefully tucks the knife away within the inside pocket of his coat, brushing against the necklace he wears with a soft smile. Another gift he'd have to give back one of these days but one he'd be around to make sure happened. It's what both of these gifts meant and Hope didn't plan to let either of them down. There's a pause as he blinks at the sight of the potion, still reaching out and carefully taking it as well. ]
Hopefully I won't have to use it either. [ Still, it would be useful to have around just in case. ] Thank you, Light.
[A soft smile crosses her face. He'll be fine with those, she thinks. And Solveig and her, of course. He's stronger than he used to be. She doesn't have to worry anymore. So instead, she reaches out, gently poking his forehead. Gotten too big for this, hasn't he...]

Go back to sleep. We'll talk later.

You make sure to get some rest too. I'll see you later, Light.

[Her tiny smile gets a little warmer, and with one soft pat to Solveig's neck, she steps back. She'll see him later.]
See you later.
[And then she's turning to leave, one little wave over her shoulder the last thing she can give him. They'll talk later.]
