how about we hook up at the circus it seems fitting given the situation
[This is all some hideous twisted mockery of a life and they're just the clown act after all. Though the truth is it'd be easiest to tell if there were unwanted hangers on there.... Being overly paranoid? Probably.]
Does it? [ Then again, he's been busily looking over a postcard from an amusement card since finding it with the rest of his "gifts" earlier in the day. ] Right then, I'll be there.
[ Guess it was time to break out his field uniform again and find a babysitter for Solveig. Either way, he isn't the sort to be anything less than punctual. ]
[Zelos is waiting on the stage. Laid out he has two sets of skeletons, reassembled as accurate to his memory as possible. One is a strange combination of two people partially fused together in a process that could have only been agony. It's a mutation very reminiscent of what Zelos's group found when they dissected the monsters in the subway.
The other...well. It's amazingly intact, normal enough outside of the two places on its shoulder blades where bones have clearly been sawed off. The command badges are nowhere to be seen though sorry he doesn't trust you that much Hope.
[ Everyone had their secrets here, whether that's command badges or apparently some cursed glowing rocks. It's a party.
Hope raises his hand in greeting and approaches the scene, glancing over both for any details that might stick out beyond the obvious. ]
Hello. I see everyone has been busy underground.
[ Kneeling down, he reaches out and gently tilts one of the skulls with a frown. His stint in archaeology had dealt more in ruins than skeletons but there was key considerations in determining age. One, of course, was observing their teeth but he's not finding a lot to go on. Honestly, he couldn't even fully say that they were even totally human.
The way they had been fused doesn't leave a lot to determine either. Instead, he tugs open his bag and removes a sketch book. Although he sketches, he does glance back up and ask— ]
[In his own weird way he did. Surprises galore. He crosses his arms though. This isn't his idea of fun chitchat.]
There's more. They're just not easy to access. Those two weren't exactly a party to get out.
[It'd required a certain amount of finesse he hadn't been too happy putting to the test. Not when his arsenal is limited to two knives and magic right now, but that's a personal problem. One he does not expect anyone, but himself to care about and at worst others to see as a weakness. Kneeling he lets his hand hover over the fused skeleton.]
When I examined the monsters down there they looked like this. [But... His hand moves to hang over the more normal "angel" --if it can be called that.] The ones like this though... I haven't found anywhere else, living or dead.
[ Hope is attentive and listen thoroughly to each word said, committing it to memory along with the key features of the skeletons. The "angel" as it were is what really grabs his attention. The saw marks are what he focuses on most as Hope wonders if it had been done before or after death.
And more than that... just what importance did they have for someone to saw them off in the first place. ]
All of the fused skeletons were they always in twos? Or did the numbers of skeletons fused vary? [ Again, he's returned to sketching. Going over pieces that stick out most to him. ] When my group went in to try and fix the electrical grid there was a few we ran into but sizes differed so much it makes me wonder if it's because of there being more skeletons in the equation.
