[ Sometime after Gliese's announcement goes live and her channel has gone static, while Hope is waiting for the countdown to wind down - the light flickers off, engulfing him in darkness.
When the light returns, clasped to his sleeve is a small round pin depicting Ursa Major on the front. A small blooming flower is tucked into the pin. ]
[ As time winds down, Hope paces his room and listens for his blackglass. For once in this long half hour, it is silent and leaves him with his thoughts to go over a checklist in his head.
In his hands is the survival knife, his last physical reminder of Light in this world, that he idly opens and closes with each moment that passes. Water filters, face masks, medicine, weapons and food. Over and over, he figures in his own supplies and tries to factor in the number of recruits that might be missing needed items. Briefly, Hope's attention shifts downward and he tugs the sleeve covering the burnt white image branded into the back of his left wrist up with a frown. If it came down to it, he's sure he can help support their numbers with his magic and at least make sure water wasn't something they had to worry about whenever it was they were going. He had asked to become a l'Cie again and with that request granted, he would continue to do what he could for this crew.
The lights flickering grabs his attention and as darkness engulfs the space, he holds his breath. There is a shift in his stance as he raises his left hand, ready to ignite a fire spell when the lights return and he blinks.
He glances to Solveig, resting atop her blanket and smiles faintly as she makes small confused sounds. He goes to move toward her when something catches his eye, a glint of something attached to the sleeve covering his brand and there's a flash of panic that settles in his chest. Just as quickly he takes note of the flower tucked into the pin, reaching out to carefully pull it free and softly smiles.
Only give me what you can.
Hope doesn't plan to falter from his path now. His family scattered among the different crews, his world still teetering on the brink of destruction and what he has come to care for here—he won't fail them.
He secures the pin with that ideal in mind, he could be counted on and meant his words. Sitting down on his bed, Hope shifts through his things for a safe place to keep the flower and readies himself as the countdown nears zero. ]
Just make sure you drop by Medical when you can and make yourself a kit while we have the supplies available to us.

Let others know to take the following into consideration if you talk to them: a way to filter clean water, a cover for your face, medical supplies, weapons and food.
Currently I only need for everyone to make sure they are as prepared as possible for whatever is waiting for us.

A way to filter clean water, a cover for your face, medical supplies, weapons and food. Understandably, some recruits might be missing certain items but those are the main items we were able to gather from the Captain's announcement as important.

We're considering a communal supply pool once we land but depending on conditions, it might not be possible at first. We need to stress that everyone is prepared for just about anything.

If you could pass this along to those you know then it'll be extremely helpful.
A way to source clean water, cover for your face, medical supplies, weapons and food are the items that should be given most consideration.

This includes extras of anything you might be willing to spare. Once we finish with the re-boarding and if conditions are in our favor, Blue is hoping to set up a communal pool of supplies.
There's nothing needed as of now. I'm still hoping to find and/or hear from one of the instructors. For now, we're just tending to people in Medical and making sure everyone gets the rest they need.
